Freshwater Australian Crayfish Traders are growers of live feeder fish, crayfish and shrimps as well as the mature Redclaw Crayfish for the restaurant trade.
Freshwater Australian Crayfish Traders products can be delivered directly from our farm at Tarome to your premises: to businesses, homes and shops, in most areas of south-east Queensland.
Product range
Feeder Crayfish
Feeder crayfish are used as live food for many aquatic animals such as: fish, turtles, platypus and some aquatic birds and are an excellent live bait for some species of fish.
Redclaw Crayfish
Our redclaw are cultivated in a ‘clear water’ production system ensuring the highest quality. Our red claw are available in 50-90g and 90g plus weights. The product is sold live and hence, the freshness is guaranteed.
Feeder Prawns
Live Macrobrachium feeder shrimps are highly sought after as live bait for fishing. As live bait they are effective in both marine and freshwater environments, but mostly they are used in freshwater fishing for species such as bass, yellow-belly, silver perch, spangled perch and catfish.
Feeder Fish
Fire-tail gudgeons are commercially produced as live food for a variety of aquatic animals and can be used as an environmentally friendly, biological control of mosquito larvae.
Bait Shrimps
Freshwater shrimps are highly sought after as live bait for use in both the freshwater and marine fishing environments. As a result of the large-scale commercial production of these bait shrimps, there is no seasonality of supply. They are generally available throughout the year.
